Re: Removal of the Russian Faction

@Psubond They won’t lol, they wouldn’t be allowed to sell it in China and it’s a major game market. It’ll never happen, too much money on the table and no stones under the table.

🤣 i know, had to mention it though

  • Should remove both nations. They don't make sense in the game's own lore.

Problem isn't russian fraction or US one.

Problem is that lore is completely broken. There's no LORE besides small briefing before match.

Why we fight these locations? Who are no-pats? Why narrator says no-pats but Im sent to US army (or Russian). Who are pats?

I suggest plot was something like classy US vs RU with 3rd force involved called no-pats, but game itself makes you think its old RU vs US with some random clothes instead of uniforms and for some reason you're called "no-pat". Welp, I understand there's no campaign part (Im okay with that) but there could be a small explanation anywhere on whats going on

However, RU vs US is classic everyone wants on screen (and no one wants to see from your window).

Remembering all release problems and upcoming technical issues Im okay to play US vs RU, PATS vs NOPATS, RED VS BLUE or anything if game works right

There was Exodus mini movie made on frostbite, I was assuming DICE gonna release several of those to explain what we are actually playing here. If u wont make explanation campaign part, 10mins short movides would also ok I think?

@Noodlesocks Well considering how badly the US messed up the Middle East in the last 20 odd years there's a far bigger case to remove the US from the game.
  • @ATFGunr China was a weirdly boring faction in BF4 and I can't put my finger on why. Maybe in some respects its because they're even less experienced in actual warfare than the Russians are.

    Why remove Russia?

My guess is cartoon russians in a fantasy game hurt feelings

  • @Psubond Russians are a beloved faction in the battlefield franchise.

I mean I like all the factions over the years with their over the top tongue in cheek voice lines and the Russians always have some funny phrases in the games.

I never once relate them to real world events, that would be a bit delusional.

@Moab23 In the 20th century maybe, but the Chinese have as rich a history in bloodshed and warfare as the best of them. They plan and train well and I think would be a significant challenge for anyone.
  • @ATFGunr Well the Russians didn't do too badly in World War II and every one knows they could annihilate Ukraine if they weren't bothered about massive civilian casualties in their current conflict.

Of course the Russians "didn't do too badly in World War II".  We say this, I guess, because if they weren't on the Allies side then we would have seen a different looking world today.  You want to allude that "every one knows they could annihilate Ukraine if they weren't bothered about massive civilian casualties in their current conflict" is a real thing, fine.  I guess that you are willing to ignore the manner in which this war is being conducted.  Hell, there are glaring examples of war crimes, crimes against humanity in glaring sight.  So maybe stick to talking about this farce of a game and keep your views about real life events to yourself.
