Dozer's shield was removed because it bugged out and let him become invincible.
No counter? Bullets, ramming (I've had friendly tanks and choppers hit me), shooting at the drone operator, grenades, rockets, general spotting, Ranger's ridiculous lock on, B-Man's turrets. Actually moving your vehicle instead of camping usually helps too.
BC2 and other titles had drone stuff.. heck, you can fly a tank on a jet lol.
Those arnt real counters. Yeah sure you can shoot it. If you can see it.

Yeah they had drone stuff and they were all removed. Why? Because it was broken and a glitch/exploit.
You shouldn't be able to put C5 on a drone.
Let alone just slam it into any vehicle willy nilly and kill them.
Also people like yourself seem to think it only happens if your "sniping in a tank" Yet I'm always on the frontlines and it happens a ton more than if I sit back.
So that point falls short.

I've tested C5 on a drone and you can't just ram the vehicle anymore to blow it up, you have to switch to the C5 then trigger it. EA also added lights to the drone and it's super easy to spot now. It also shows up on your mini map too.
It happens to me all the time. It's why it says the drone killed me and not the C5. They slam the drone into w.e it is.

For the drone in BC2, you had to be on the terminal, which was placed on a fixed position on the map, that is easily available to reach for everyone. Sometimes even close to an objective.
With Casper, you can just hide in the darkest corner of the map and nobody knows where you are.
@Terminator000001 The drone has a limited range so you need to be close to the action, not in some corner of the map. Besides, there aren't a lot of concealed places in these sterile and bland maps.
I think the drone/C5 tactic is more novelty value than anything else.
There are faster and easier ways of earning XP. A tank kill with one occupant is 50 XP, the same as one assist when spotting with a drone.
In the right place and time, you can rack up assists with spotting very quickly, dozens at a time - much quicker than taking the time and trouble to set-up a single drone/C5 kill on tank (and not knowing how many in the tank).
Drones are now easier to spot with the upgrade, but my experience is that most players aren't even looking, even when the drone is just above them.
As I said, C5 should only able to detonate manually, this takes a bit of coordination and is prone to risk and error.
In the end, I could not be bothered using that tactic...

Which isn't at all what happens, it happens to me all the time. And want to know what I'm doing? Pushing objectives going back and forth and etc. I play AGGRESSIVE as you should in any vehicle.
But when I have R5s getting solfam focused and other tanks and etc trying to focus me out and can't because I outplay and out maneuver them to them be insta killed by some goober sitting prone ramming a tiny drone into my tank seems really stupid does it not?
