It is proving a bit of a challenging task. Think I'll not stress about completing it either and see if it can just do it naturally.

2 headshots long distance with a sniper rifle did the trick for me.

To complete a Marksman Kill you'll need a headshot with either a Sniper or Marksman Rifle at a distance of 200m or more. - @Padding_Ur_Stats Why would anyone want to stay over 200m away from the objective?
Worst mission EVER!! A headshot kill of 200m+ gives you an experience bonus called Marksman. It has nothing to do with the gun
I'm not a particularly skillful sniper but I fitted an SWS 10 with a 10x scope, the long barrel and high powered rounds and happened to land on Orbital, which was ideal. In 10 minutes I had a 300m and a 400m headshot kill and got the marksman mission.
