Is this that hard to implement? I know it's not a priority but it annoys me everytime I wanna switch my camo...

@RayD_O1Do you see us getting a new portal map(content) with this upcoming season? They've basically abandoned Portal IMO.
My prediction is we'll get that 1 new map and 2 more weapons unfortunately. I hope they at least deliver another portal map each of the remaining 3 seasons but I doubt we'll see that. One for 1942, BFBC2 and BF3.
It's unfortunate that with DICE we are predicting the bare minimum content until the end of 2042's lifecycle. This game is SEVERELY lacking in content.
Remember when we used to get tons of maps and weapons? It was fun using the server browser to chose the back to karkand maps or close quarters. That was sick!!!
We were all so into seeing what they could give us next! Remember the dinosaurs? Now we just hope we something more than the bare minimum.

Season 2- One new map(the smaller CQ) one. 2 new weapons. Some minor bug fixes and the renewal rework.
Mid season update will be reworked Orbital and possibly Manifest.
In response to most of our hopes for the remaining content for this game. "i doubt it" is an appropriate answer here. Don't get your hopes up guys because it probably aint gunna happen unfortunately. .

I haven't actually seen any confirmation of content for Portal in Season 2.
Maybe some of the other guys on here could chip in if they know anything.
Hopes I have none so I won't be disappointed
Fears, Season 2 gets delayed until next year then EA tells DICE to stop working on the game, making my year one pass useless.

Yeah Renewal has been confirmed as the reworked map coming with Season 2 and I think I read somewhere Orbital is on the cards as coming after that.
Personally I don't find Orbital that bad in comparison to some of the other AOW maps but I am sure it can still benefit from a rework.

That's why it's getting updated before a map like Hourglass, which is total trash and needs an update. Because they can knock it out quickly and brag about how many maps they've updated in a short period of time vs. actually prioritizing the worst maps. It's all about smoke and mirrors, and how they can find ways to brag about doing more while actually doing less.
@RayD_O1Yes sorry, it will be renewal on season two release. Possibly orbital on the mid season update and even manifest.
I also think orbital is the least messed up of all the base game maps. That’s why I think they’ll do manifest with it.

I wonder if it is coming with Season 2 at launch, or just at some point like Kaleidoscope was.

They go all in on Portal. Make it free to play. Flood it with content. I think too much of the BF community has written off BF2042. Portal seems to still have the potential of rebuilding the BF brand.
Fear:
DICE releases some more questionably balanced vehicles and guns that we'll have to wait multiple months for them to balance properly.
Prediction:
Nothing more or less than what we saw for Season 1. Minimal content and a small step in the right direction. For those still playing they'll be happy to get anything. For those that left they'll be disappointed by the amount of content/lack of movement on the dealbreaker issues and see it as confirmation they made the right decision to leave.

Hope (bar set really low) 2x maps, 2 x classic maps Strike at Karkand + Bad company 2 Harvest Day, classic weapons cache. classic vehicles drop need some IFV's
Fears: 1x map, 1 rework, 1 dead specialist, another poor battlepass

Yeah I agree, Portal hasn't really fulfilled it full potential to date.
I held off a bit, but here are mine...
Hopes:
1. The horrendous netcode/lag compensation/server tick issue is fixed. I can deal with crappy maps and most things, but hate, hate, hate the infuriating issue. Sorry @RayD_O1 , I hate Exposure, but opinions right? 🙂
2. Balanced weapon and vehicles. It has been and can be done with some common sense and timely tweaking.
3. That said, more frequent tweaks to the game. Once a month fixes aren't cutting it.
4. The fixes actually fix something...
5. We start getting decent communication
Fears:
1. Stealth helos and air power in general will be exacerbated by the addition of something worse than the Stealth is to begin with...
2. Vehicles will continue to be worthless if you have a decent team.
3. New maps will be as bad as the originals for cover and concealment.
4. The new specialist will have an even more rediculous super power than Paik...
Prediction:
1. Nothing will change and we'll continue to gripe, pi$$ and moan and play a broken game and receive horrible customer service.

Funny as it sounds, I love Discarded and not too far behind is Renewal. (the 64 player versions) Of the old maps, with the exception of a few things they got misplaced, Caspian is still the best 🙂

Yeah I like Discarded / Renewal ok too, and was always a big fan of Caspian Border. 🙂
