This should destroy any illusion one might have had of EA/DICE making the next Battlefield a superb experience for fans of the franchise.
Instead focus is the same as for Battlefield 2042:
“What can we steal from other popular games or game types so that new groups of people get Battlefield on their radar and possibly purchase it?”
Thus Battlefield is no longer Battlefield as we’ve known it in the past, meaning: Focus is not on making a great and fun game that will basically “sell itself” because of how fun it is.Instead the main focus is on which “foreign elements” can be incorporated into Battlefield to attract a larger group of customers - which again will maximize profits, both from sale of the game, from cosmetic items, Battle Pass etc.
It’s a shame.
