Re: Snipers need to return to the Battlefield 1 Formula

Honestly, I don't remember snipers turning the tide of battle in BF1, I just remember them hiding on the edges of maps, yeah there were the rare few that would move up with the team but very few. I don't feel making them like BF1 will promote game play just more lone wolfing which will hurt teamwork even more.

    • Having a class limit per squad. Squad size 8 soldiers.
    • More classes to choose from, maximum number in squad: 2 assaults (ammo carrier), 2 medics, 1 machine gunner (fire support & defence building), 2 engineers (armor warfare & asset reconstruction/repair), 1 special forces (sabotage, counter-equipment & -intelligence & path creation), 1 marksman (reconnaissance, camo & anti-personnel), 1 squad leader (orders & squad leader assets, required co-op with radio operator), 2 radio operators (required to request asset support within proximity of SL from HQ & places spawn beacons) and 1 commander per team (orders & commander HQ assets).
    • No auto regeneration, limited stamina (similar to Insurgency Sandstorm) & magazine reloads

    This would make sniping viable and balanced. It would in general make balancing easier because of limits and lack of hand holding create possibilities to make counter-play effective.
