I am not sure how much time / work is involved in bringing across these older maps but I agree one thing BF2042 definitely needs is more maps. @RayD_O1Well, Ripple Effect were in charge of Portal but it seems they've more than likely moved on to helping with the next BF. It saddens me that we haven't had any BF2 maps. I would absolutely love to revisit some of those maps. Alas, we aren't getting new content so I guess I'll just tell myself 'don't be sad, this is just how it works out sometimes.'
Yeah, I think they should have focused a lot more on Portal so much un-tapped potential there.

You never know they just might.
They added the reimagined version of Metro to BFV, the map was called Operation Underground.

Locker 24/7 would probably be a success (boring but still).
- @GrizzGolf I think a couple of the Close Quarters from BF3 would fit in nicely with Stranded!

I guess hoping for more than 1 new map a season really was a pipe dream.
Compared to BF1 and prior, 2042 is really bare bones for content.
Don't worry though, we getting another Polaris, which will no doubt handle as poorly as the other one.
