Re: Specialist Counter's/Balancing Discussion

@UMPhreak
I find riot shields are traditionally boring to use due to a lack of offensive features so I don't mind the reflecting bullets, but I'd prefer a smaller shield plus use of a sidearm vs punishing the opponent for having accurate fire. The reflecting bullets could also lead to an aggravating cycle of an opposing dozer pulling out riot shield, player switches to an explosive/grenade instead of gun, Dozer swaps riot shield for gun and shoots player, this would get old really fast.

Not a fan of 3D spotting in general as it makes flanking maneuvers and back capping nearly impossible. I like that they are taking risks with some of these specialists and pushing the envelope for new traits and gadgets but several of them need to be dialed back. A more acceptable iteration of Paik's scanner would be for it to discharge a scanning wave which triggers when it encounters enemy soldiers and gives a directional indicator as to their whereabouts without revealing their silhouettes like a wall hack.

    @DJPtrak 3d spotting has been in every BF games and its definitely something I've always appreciated. You can communicate with your team effectively this way.

    In every BF game I've been able to back cap and being spotted doesn't stop that. It actually makes a part of their team focus trying to find out where you keep spawning from and they spend tickets searching. Meanwhile the rest of your team, if they aren't completely terrible, will use that moment to push up and take another objective.
