Re: Specialist idea: Mortar

@VeyezX It’s probably coming… something like a individually deployable, smart mortar system for sure.

@carsono311 I hope so because mortars are an excellent balance for snipers and with the Specialist system we could have a lot of snipers sitting on their own ammo crates now.

Indeed! While ofcourse the range doesnt have to be across map. Giving support with a mortar could be amazing!

I would be very surprised (and somewhat disappointed) if some form of Mortar doesn't make the game.

Since anti-sniper has been mentioned, I'm going to throw a lot in for a variant of one of the more hated guns, the XM25.

Sorry, but if there was a nest of beacons on a roof with half a platoon up there just camping a roof, few things were more amusing than coming back with an XM, tagging the roofline, and just elevating slightly and watching recons fly.

I realize it got abused rather badly in other ways so it got a lot of hate, but for it's "intended" purpose it was arguably more fun than mortars.

(and obviously, a lot more broken, but useful in tighter city maps unlike the mortar half the time and unlike the mortar, less easy to spawnlock a team with).

@Fringerunner The XM was indeed a lot of fun. And also had a lot of different types of shells for different type of situations.

I really wonder what kind of awesome equipment we are going to get
