Re: Stat-padding servers in Portal, and no leaderboards. Why?

@Paramveer9 A little stat padding here and there doesn't hurt anything. When you can legally pad your stats do it. It's like a loop-hole.

    At this point, what does it matter? It is not like this is some type of competitive game. Like you said, there are no leaderboards and the stat tracking is questionable at best, so XP really doesn't matter. Those players get no competitive advantage by flying around in circles all day. KD means nothing in this game, and it is not hard to have a super high KD and farm kills (like all the streamers do).

    These types of servers have been reported (when the ammo XP ones popped up) and nothing was done about them. Portal allows for the creation of many custom games that still award XP. I am sure there will be more inventive ways to come up with other XP farming methods.

    The Caspian Helo XP Farms are built from the Air Superiority mode, and you have every ability to shoot down or shoot at the enemy helos if you choose to do so.

    I just think the irony is that they won't allow legit XP gains from Portal with bots, but will allow players to fly around in circles for XP. That really is what looks bad IMO because there are legit gamers that can't find a multiplayer match due to terrible MM and regional locks.

    These portal servers aren't actually legal as they go against exploits and stuff. At the start, we were reporting and banning a ton of them but I eventually stopped; just too many of em. Going in one to troll is one thing (and I unofficially endorse it), but there is still potential of some sort of action if your name is found in a report.

    @TTZ_Dipsy Out of curiosity, what exploit is it to fly around a hind from point to point?

    @Adamonic That's my thought process.

    Someone paid for the battlepass, but may not be able to unlock everything by the end of the period, so instead of losing out on x-levels of it and whatever unlocks to go with it, they sit in a hind or throw an ammo crate or whatever for a couple hours and catch up.

    I don't personally see anything wrong with that, it's not like they get any boosted stats (hp/armor/ammo/more damage/etc) by doing it
