I'm kinda glad to be honest. Every game I play I get melted by that stupid spam-sniper from stupid distances. Use something else. I'm sure the complainers will make DICE turn it into another laser beam soon.

The SVK Nerf from patch 3.1 completely ruins the DMR weapon class. The recoil and recovery has now made the SVK more comparable to a sniper rifle, but with less damage, and the DM7 was already worse than any AR.
Between the two available DMR weapons, the SVK was the only viable option as it excelled in mid range fights. And for people who complain, keep in mind that being '2-shot' by the SVK was only possible with high powered ammunition (which comes in a 5-round magazine)... With the recent changes, ARs are now better than any DMR. Why would anyone use a DMR now?
If the weapon is designed for mid range fights, why shouldn't it be the strongest weapon at this range?
With the nerf, there's no reason for anyone to use a DMR, and just one more reason in an ever growing list to not play BF2042 at all.
Nah. I have about 780 kills with the SVK and the nerf was definitely necessary. It was too dominant at all ranges.

You are absolutely right! There was only 2 dmr weapons and now there is only one, really bad one, dm7. Svk is now sniper with very strange recoil and so slow. Big maps and far distances need decent dmr guns if you don't want to be sniper.
Thats why I quit the game and reinstall Battlefield V which supposed to be world war2 game and there dmr guns are much better and they are designed something like 80 years ago 😂 so 2020 or like in this game 2042 they are even worse than 80 or something years ago...cmoon just even try to keep some kind of realism. If I want to play fortnite I can it has already done don't need a new one Hopped on today to use my favorite gun [svk with the 15 round mag so i can actually run around instead of sniping which makes it a 3 shot at range which was balanced] to my surprise it kicks about 3x as much now . Thx dice for ruining the only fun i could find in this horrendous game lol
