Interesting! So must be that Portal can randomly put you on it (I honestly forgot they finally added BT to Portal as it was missing for so long after launch).

I think the reason for it was because there had been people on the server when the maps changed, and the game forgot to move me back the next time I fired it up. 

The even stranger thing is, although we have 2 factions being US and RU, the specialist come from all over the world. 
you could even have Boris, who’s Russian, fighting for the US side

Sounds like mercenaries would be more fitting for that.

When I first played this game I thought one faction would simply be called notepads. With what's happening around the globe today it would be better for fictional names.

Notepads Vs. Rebels or insurgents would of been more fitting. Notepads seem to be the good guys, so it would make sense as they were being kidnapped.

What else is really annoying about this game is it's all USA vs. Russia. I think this is all another example how little effort went into this game to begin with.
