Re: The knifing system in BF 2042

If I should compare knifing in BF2042 and BF3, it's like a night and day. In BF3, it was smooth, easy to use, intuitive and satisfying. In BF2042, I am pretty sure that I will rather shoot the enemy down or confuse him to death by running around than using a knife. It's incredibly wonky and unfun in the current form, unfortunately.

@Anaghya I completely agree. I also didn't like the BF1 system as it was inconsistent and having different damage profiles for melee weapons was just unnecessary IMO. I'd rather they bring back the BF3 or BF4 melee system and call it a day instead of trying to be COD with 3rd person melee so they can sell take downs and pad the forthcoming Battlepass with nonsense like takedowns and weapon charms.

I don't even try to knife in 2042 any more as like you I find it really unfun and I used to love knifing people.
