Re: The old scoreboard

@Aim2212 I personally couldn't care less, one way or another.  Battlefield has always been supposed to be a team game, not a "Look, I'm a YouTuber with no life but I can get 7000-0 kills in one game check this out" or "I have to unlock everything in the first 10 hours otherwise my views will go down blablabla"  It's frivolous, but yeah a scoreboard should probably be there (and I'm sure they will retrofit one with all the complaining)

However, being that Battlefield is a team game, make the kills or KDR count almost nothing, and reward playing the objective or supporting the team via revives/restocks/scouting.  Then people who don't play like they're always on crack can enjoy doing the things they might be better at, such as capping, or supporting, or scouting, etc.

There is way too much emphasis on KDR nowadays, and honestly, it's intrinsically toxic.

There's a place for stacking bodies as fast as possible, (COD) and there's a place for team-based play.  There's no TDM or DM modes in here, so it's pointless to have a scoreboard.

Youtubers or streamers should just find other games to put clickbait titles on, go outside once in a while, or maybe get a job. Not sure what is meant by "There are massive jobs and families attached to the game, which are destroyed by this failure..." I assume you mean "content creators" can no longer use KDR as a means to attract viewers. In that case...good. Nobody cares what they think. They don't speak for the rest of us and their opinions really don't count in the overall scheme of things.

@KineticYeetSquad People subscribe and voluntarily give their money to watch good players and learn new skills, and there is a large group of players asking for scores, so it looks to be a very popular feature.

If you don't care for it, that's fine; you don't even have to look at it, so it won't affect you and your gameplay, right?

I say give people the options they want, and let them toggle them on if they want to use them. That way, everyone can be happy and get what they want from the game.

My understanding of it was that they wanted people to focus more on team play and not on being a K/D wh**e which is rife in most shooters. A lot of the time people are scared to take risks which could define whether or not your team wins the game or not so taking away that scoreboard showing that you are doing bad with your K/D might make you a better teammate in the long run.

@KineticYeetSquad I really dont think you get it. Sorry.

For one, in the past BF games, ive made it to the top with more deaths actually. I capured, healed and whatnot. All of this isn't really doing anything in 2042. The current scoreboard doesn't really reflect any accomplishment other than "We won".

As i said before, if you take your fav Sports team, if they win, its not only about WHO won. They will show team analysis and points how they GOT there. This is pretty much the same thing and there is a reason why its been part of FPS for decades.

Dice's approach is a "look everyones a winner" doesn't really work because there's no motivation to do anything. If you're one of those players who dont care for stats - just dont look at them. Why abide to smaller minority who dont care if the vast majority do? It worked in the last BF games so why not give us the options?
