1. A server browser is very much necessary for every Battlefield game yet Battlefield 2042 does not feature a server browser. A server browser has been in Battlefield games for nearly 2 decades. A battlefield game without a server browser is incomplete. Why remove this feature all of a sudden?

2. There is no map rotation currently even after 3 updates. Hence, it’s even more frustrating now to get into the same map constantly. A server browser would solve this issue instantly because we would be able to find our own servers and decide whether we want to join the match in that particular map.

3. Another advantage of the server browser was the filter system. In my opinion, this is by far one of the best features ever added to Battlefield but unfortunately this is not present in the game along with the server browser.

4. Some of the maps are extremely boring to play upon, therefore a lot of players would like to skip that map and play the next map which they liked but that is impossible now. 

5. I think every Battlefield player prefers to choose their own server rather than being put in a match and a map randomly.

Personally I used to use the server browser a lot. I know a lot of the veterans will hate this decision made by DICE to remove the server browser. I hope they add it ASAP within some of their next updates because it’s getting frustrating now. It’s been 3 updates now and still no sign of a server browser. DICE please add it back. Make Battlefield great again.

    @DanielRicciardo You won't get a server browser with game updates because the reason you don't have one is because they've designed it that way, it's not like a missing feature that wasn't made in time for release, it's a design choice. They tested the whole forced SBMM thing in BFV for a week or two in preparation for adding it to 2042.

    SBMM is a terrible idea and no one likes it yet some game game designers believe that we must have it so lower skilled people don't keep getting owned by higher skilled people and therefore rage quit and don't play the game. In reality though BF is not a competitive shooter, there are far too many variables going on in each match so the likelihood of someone keep getting owned by the same player is extremely slim. BF matches are generally far too random to warrant forced SBMM at the end of every single round.

    @DanielRicciardo Yes map rotation is great. 5 times the same map and then the load out bug. Sigh.... They don't fix the issues that annoy me the most. Forced spawn at the beginning of the round? aiii

    @RipGroove99 The thing is I can’t find lobbies, hence I was asking for server browser’s because the number of players in my region(Asia/Middle east) is extremely slim. I can’t find a match when I disable crossplay. And recently I cannot find matches with crossplay enabled. In previous games with the help of the server browser atleast I could play on Europe servers but now that ain’t even possible. Guess I’ll just go back to playing BF1/4.

    @Daeyon-be This. They are IMO necessary features for a decent BF game, or any FPS game of similar style for that matter.

    Yes I waited 1 hour to a find a freaking server then match ended immediately. Thank you dice you changing * nobody asked for

    No server browser AND no joystick support. 
    Had not thought I was going to experience this in a BF game. That's just sad.

    I was all set to spend several weeks playing bf2042. I’ve played it like 2-3 times because the whole experience is ruined by the match making, lack of squad selection, and poor map rotation. The lack of a scoreboard and ability to review the end round rewards in my own time, also pretty dam disappointing. The server browser is also how I met regular players and made new friends to squad up with. 


    the whole current solution is the antithesis to battlefield.

    I’m not ready to quit yet, I’m keep checking back in for the updates. But if the above don’t get added in, then I probably won’t play 2042 again as it’s a complete waste of time for me. I get zero enjoyment out of unlocking weapons, or skins. Simply not an objective of mine. Which is why I played BF4, for the PTFO, for the team work, for the support role, for the squad and the experience right now is so far from what used to be. We’ll seriously. It’s just not battlefield.

    @DanielRicciardo I know, server browser is more convenient. Get on servers with less people so you and your friends can join. Also making sure those servers have the desired ping rate. Unfortunately DICE/EA doesn't care what the community wants...

    But people want to play AOW, I.e the main game, with the benefits, on a server where regulars play, and run constant map rotations, and have the same people friends playing that can’t currently play in the same squad.

    @RipGroove99 Lol I don't thibk there is SBMM in this game. If there was I wouldn't be getting the squad mates I get when I solo que

    @Flavin913 There is forced SBMM at the end of every single round, that's why everyone is booted out of the server automatically.

    Once 3 of your mates are in an AOW match together, leave party and more friends can join on you and all play in the same game together. It's not perfect, but a workaround.

    @RipGroove99 SBMM?? How is this game SBMM im getting lv 12s on my team who don't do *, and I'm lv 88.
    Having s30+ players in the lobby im playing in.

    There is no way in hell this is SBMM, * noone has SBMM down. Apex doesn't even have it even though its heavily talked about.

    The only way I've ever played Battlefield is with a server browser, always finding, max ticket, hard-core, infantry maps

    2042 AoW has SBMM, fact. I don't know what else to tell ya.

    It does not have SBMM.

    It has lobby balancing.

    So after we join the game, it balances out the teams.  It's supposed to anyways.


    That is not really SBMM.  It is just team balancing, which BF has always had.  In BF4, at the end of a round, it would swap people from 1 team to the other in order to balance it out.

    I am not sure why they don't have a server browser considering they can still balance the teams the same way they are now at the end of a round.

    im now at 30+ minutes of waiting to get into a match. i know this because i made a thread here while waiting, and now its been over 20 min since making it, and since i had already waited about 20 before making it. DICE this is, and im sorry but you need to hear this the tough way, * DISGUSTING LEVEL OF SERVER PROGRAMMING.
