Re: There can be only 4!

GOOD NEWS

At the very least friends can 1. "create a party" 2. then join the game together, player spots permitting, and stay in the same squad, when the party leader leaves so does their friends from the game, the rest needs a bit of work.

For me, one of the big giveaways that this game was designed to be a Hero Shooter Battle Royale is the fact that DICE changed "squad" to "party" and removed all the mechanics to manage a squad, sorry, "party".  You are only supposed to be playing one round at a time, because that's how Battle Royale games work.

In every previous BF game you set up a squad and your friends joined it.  Then the squad leader takes you into a game.  Once in a game, one of you can drop out of the squad, create a new one and invite more friends to join you.  Persistent servers mean you all stay together over multiple rounds until you decide to leave.  And you could all set a Platoon tag too, to show that you were all one group.

I do not believe we will see any of this introduced to BF2042.  I hope I'm wrong, but if they could fix these things, wouldn't they have done so by now?  It would make a lot of players happy and end a lot of the ongoing criticisms and complaints about these aspects of the game.

This game was never meant to originally be a squad based tactical shooter. A hero battle royale more likely. Probably why they left out thos features.

They probably should have just stuck to their original idea and saw it through. Better than this half arsed mess imo
