Re: This new "Feedback Loop" is just super ain't it?

I find it odd game developers aren't allowed to talk about a game that's been released. The only reason I can think of is EA's in full damage control mode.

    @OskooI_007 Not really. For most developers it's because they don't want the attention (or hate if something goes bad) and they stick to personal stuff. Other times there will be rules about it, both formal and informal.

    For higher ups like that it depends. Much of the time it's to ensure no confusion - Marcus isn't working on core 2042 multiplayer right now so while he can talk on some broad Battlefield topics, he's likely not sitting in meetings to be able to say a lot. And even if he knows the broader strategy more broadly that doesn't mean he can just talk about things until the team is actually ready to talk about them (or wants to, because they could be talking a lot earlier).

    Yeah, things are rough, but not because of those Twitter posts.
