Re: TV missile issues

Regarding the missles that appear to go through the target without doing damage. I wouldn't be suprised if DICE/EA have implemented some form of DDA (dynamic difficulty adjustment) causing high skill players (based on realtime performance stats) to get accuracy penalties against lower skill players. Something which is much less noticable with automatic and semi-automatic weapons. But would be very noticable with single-fire missles.

If you think they are above doing stuff like this, I would direct you to the release of BFV where they first implemented DDA in conquest. Teams which were significantly behind would get a bonus to the flag capture rate to help try and "balance" out the round. When DICE eventually admitted they were doing it, I believe they referred to it as a "catch-up" mechanic. This was very noticable earlier in the release of the game, and got toned down after community complaints. But, that feature was never completely removed.

@DigitalHype sorry, I don't buy that. I'm on console with a 1.7k/d and I have a 1/2 dozen videos of it doing the exact same thing for me. Its definitely a bug.

@foff667 Believe it or not, your 1.7k k/d is well above average on most lobbies. Look at the leaderboard. There are a lot of bad players.

  • Yup, have experienced this too on several occasions.  Maybe 5% of the time.

I just chalk it up to wonky hit reg.  There's zillion examples out there of tank shells just dusting on heli/planes from past BF games.

Used to be one of favorite things to do, but now I generally don't even bother with armor since its pretty much instant death.
