@AuMordum It's to prevent vehicle hogging which is very understandable. 1 person should not be able to hog a vehicle the entire game.

DICE increased the respawn timer for all vehicles, so the penalty dosent really apply anymore.
For example you get shot down in a helicopter and have to wait 1.40 minutes but the heli respawns after 1.45.
So you just need to hit the vehicle select repeatedly after your timer is up, because right now it is bugged and dosent refresh if you keep it open.
Only the Transports like MAV spawn faster then your penalty timer so you cant pick them again right away.
