Re: Votekick option Battlefield 2042

Votekick was always broken and abused, it is just not a great way of handling problematic players, rather problematic players try to abuse it.

That said.... What ever helps remove the calls for "Report Xyz!!!! He is a cheater."

@Fringerunner Doubt that will help, maybe against the cheaters, but not those telling others to report them, those are often bothering me more than the cheaters themselves.

@TrasteTh Yea, i don't disagree, i just think it would be nice if we had the basics if we can even report people.

Would also make a lot easier on the portal admins who are going to manage their own playgrounds (hell, i'd settle for just spectating there), and frankly if people had to submit something using ingame tools other than accusations alone it might ease it off a little.

I fully agree that it's not going to stop a bunch of people screaming hacks whenever they die though.

@FringerunnerWell, they have promised that reporting would be much more accessible, and in game, that is as far as I know, I doubt that will inform server experience admins though, so if a playing is not abiding the server experience rules - if different from EA rules - people will still be shouting in the chat, i guess.

@TrasteTh Oh, no argument here on that part, would just be nice to have some fairly basic tools *if* something shady was going on, not to deal with every screaming ego out there. (i mean, we have the killcam, *some* functionality is already in the game).
  • @TrasteTh They've been promising, "Better Tools" for years and have never delivered. I don't expect that to change now. At this point, it's just on the player using the report function as is. That usually gets a cheater if actually cheating banned pretty quick.

@Threedog1421 I do agree. TBH, the level of response when reporting a cheat has been appalling in the previous titles. What I mean is that it has been a black hole, you have not even gotten a receipt of the submission, which I think is on its own creating a sense of "nothing happening".
I seem to remember that this would also be improved in BF2042, but let's see.
