Re: What do heli pilots want for AA balancing?

@MZR_926 I still think that the outcome of a match is still dictated way too much by which team has better air superiority on Every Single Map.

I understand that it takes skill to fly well, but it’s Still not balanced. The required coordination it takes from random teammates to take down a pre-made squad in a Hind is ridiculous. They can go the entire round without dying once, multiple rounds in a row even.

It’s also extremely boring staring at the sky with an AA missile, waiting for a helicopter to get within locking distance. Then flaring and flying off behind cover. Or if you’re alone, just coming back and killing you. It’s just really boring gameplay for everyone besides the heli pilot.

I think the answer is to just have maps without ANY air vehicles, but so far we haven’t even got one like that.

Yeah, Hind with two repairs is definitely OP. Nothing other than TOR or two 50mm cannons can destroy it. I think the effectiveness of repair tools on Hind/Condor should be decreased substantially or only one player should be able to repair.

I don't think FXM should be a good option because you can't become better at it. You will have more fun with skill-based weapons.

The two repairs is a bit much. Good point.

The AA missile is fine the way that it is. You shouldn’t be bringing down helis by yourself as infantry. It’s just really hard to convince a bunch randoms to coordinate to take down a pro pilot or two.

It’s just frustrating when one team gets 2-3 good pilots on one side. It’s just a miserable match. I’m okay with them dropping some big kills, but getting 200 kills between two vehicles is too much. Especially when there’s no AI on the field.

200 kills between two vehicles without AI on the field!? I've never seen helis get so many kills in my region since Season 2.

I think helis should focus more on attacking ground vehicles. Nightbird with mini guns + 70mm deals little damage to tanks… and currently this is the best way for pilots to get a high score. I think we should get scores when we destroyed vehicles.

@MZR_926 Yeah, that happened a couple of nights ago. I tried everything because I always refuse to leave a match. I’m sure my team wasn’t the best, but it was miserable.

It was a little bird and a Condor just farming the server. Even in the Wildcat they would kill me incredibly quickly. Apparently the Little bird can circle strafe faster than the Wildcats turret can rotate, that was a fun learning experience.

Oh, it must have been hard.

Actually, you can counter circle strafing Nightbird if you have Canister Weapon Pod or 60mm Flak Pod.

From the perspective of a pilot, Wildcat should hide until an enemy heli comes close enough or cooperate with your team's heli because 30mm AA is not strong enough to destroy a heli hundreds of meters away without cooperation. I hope this will help.
