(If I want) : Battlefield on the outside  is as simple as One Plus One , but

(If I want) : Battlefield on the inside  is as complex as Quantum Theory .

Battlefield is a beast with a mind of its own that can be ridden wherever it feels like going , but

It's also a beast with a collective mind that might be steered wherever I want it to go . 

Battlefield is a Mackenzie Brother finding his vans brakes gone saying 'I guess I don't need to steer anymore' , but

It's also Kurt Russell hoping aloud to those who know 'please help me successfully land this giant aircraft'.

So , whether or not I've put pencil to paper, grabbed those reins, or attempted to operate monstrous machinery, 

. . . It was (and) always (will be) my choice .

Battlefield is like an invitingly-simple eight-cube 'Rubiks Cube' , but

Two twists (Joining) and it can become like a forty-thousand-cube 'Rubiks Cube' .

(though I dislike that toy puzzle , its inclusion here is tolerable) :P
