Re: What the heck did you do to Support class?!

They're always looking for ways to chase off the remainder of the players. Someone complains there's no ammo crate? Devs choose to make support so unappealing to play that the crate is never seen again.

Support hasn't had C4 in awhile? Play the class that does if you want C4? I don't get it?

@59hushy6ywi8 ehm... if the support had access to C5 it would also make ammo-crates less appealing making your argumentation a self fulfilling prophecy and thus closing the cycle yet again

Since the class update if memory serves.

Why would they be less appealing? I always had one on the field to change loadouts as necessary. I say give the class its C5 back. This game needs to move in the RIGHT direction for once. Stop convincing people to play something else.

    Yeah, it's been a while. 🤔

  • Not to name names...

Oh no, BIG nerf. Support is damn near useless without it. And so you know, support had it in previous BF's.
Who cares who runs what? Let people play how they want. Besides, it's not like everyone is gonna use it depending on their playstyle.

They (and we know who they are), have no clue what was in previous BF games. They wouldn't last 30 seconds post spawn in BF4. Arguably the best BF. And BF:BC, of course. 🙂

If Support has C5 then the entirety of Support will run C5 kinda like what Assault already does. I don't think it's a good idea if two classes just spam the same "gadget."

The class is wrongly named. It is actually the medic class.

I agree, the class is wrongly named. But when I play, I'm rarely ever killed by Assault C5.

    Dang right!

No and no. Players weren't all the same before they made the game bad, I say revert to pre-classes. You have all the variety you want, don't worry what anyone else does.

    Dang right!

This is still not BF and unfortunately it's going down the "Madden" path. It will get worse with every single release. But... why?!

There's two kinds of Assault players, those who run C5 and those who run that sticky grenade thing. Both do damage against vehicles, and both are good for pushing. There's no reason to use the other gadgets because they do not offer the same versatility. Quite frankly, it helps if you specify in what situation you find yourself rarely being killed by C5 from the Assault Class.

Do you drive vehicles often? If you do then you will find that "rarely" turns into often.

The argument can be made that by giving 3 Classes access to C5 will lead to an over saturation of C5 and lack of class specific gadgets, i.e Ammo boxes. Most Recons already use C5 instead of their class specific gadgets, there's no reason to assume it won't be the same with Support.

I'd argue, if you want to give the Support class access to an explosive, they should be given Mines. This is an explosive that functions in a supportive way from a game-play perspective, however it will still lead to the issue of there then being less Ammo boxes. Heck, every sector should have an ammo stockpile, since Angel is borderline useless and boring.

Also, we all know why comparison between Battlefield titles is important, but criticizing what other people think about current implementations and then using past Battlefield titles against them as a means to downtrodden their views helps literally no one, and sure doesn't help 2042 or the next Battlefield. There was a very good reason why C4 was one of the last gadgets you could unlock on Support in Battlefield 4, and that reason was a simple one.

    Yep.

    I can agree with that.

    1. That wasn't directed at players.

    2. Whom that was directed to, if they had a clue, would help. A lot.

    3. With that said, there is no help for 2042 or the next BF.

    4. Is the air really thin up there? Ya know, the soapbox you're preaching from?
