@Sohsuh Now I could be wrong but if memory serves it was always intended to be a temporary experience for Portal.
I'm sorry to say that Rush was removed as a core gamemode in BFV, due to low player numbers, and while that's not to say it won't ever be a core mode again, that'd be why it's not permanent at the moment.
