Population seems fine on last gen without PC or PS5/XSX. I'm sure XSX/PS5 only crossplay would be fine.

That would be my fear too, it would be interesting to see the population figures for each platform,
Console players are running at a hard hadicap to M&K. PC player can drop, stand up, spin and still kill you before you've even managed to get some shots off. Regular deletions from SMG players from obscence ranges, with a hyper accurate control interface, it feels like m&k nulifys most of the recoil! They can complain about aim assist but thats the only thing keeping it somewhat competitive, barely!
PS5 playerbase appeaers to be spread out over dozens of servers and with crossplay spreading it even thinner, PS5 servers are hard to fill so console players need to be pooled together into a few servers and have wait times, at least people would be able to have full games, Xbox/PS5 only crossplay needs to be a thing now
I don't mind the crossplay games but I measurably enjoy the games more with console only because it feels more like a level playing field.
@X-Sunslayer-XHis point is that consoles dont need PC players to fill servers. PC does need console to fill theirs.
Plus a lot of PS5/Series X/S left do to PC crossplay. Especially on Series X/S who had to option to turn it off at release for months.
I guarantee you many console players would return if they announced that defualt crossplay would be console only.
Another issue is no server browser means that we as players have no agency in filling servers. They did this for their skill based matchmaking sp what you get is 3 or 4 half filled servers. Instead of allowing us to pick a server and fill it.
