Re: Why is there no Console Only Cross-Play?
Hello, @ATFGunr
You're overthinking my post, All I'm saying is console users should have the say-so who they interact with because they pay to play, that's it.

You make a great point about consoles having to pay to play online, that’s BS but great for Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo etc. I’m sure somewhere somebody is scheming how to to do that for PC players. Let’s not give them any ideas here….
I still think it's great for a business to have an always accumulating revenue stream so it leads to research and/ or update services, but at this point feels unnecessary when all the companies do is just pocket the profit.

I see so many comments about how the mouse is “super accurate”. I don’t know about anyone else, with a high enough DPI to enable turning, it’s not like the mouse slows down or stops on the target. I swing past targets all the time lol, it’s not like it has aim assist with a bubble. Mouse acceleration cause misses all the time. It’s a boon to movement characteristics for sure. Maybe after playing since 1942 I’ve been doing it wrong.
I wasn't comparing controllers and mouse & keyboards directly, I just said consoles don't have access to different devices in Battlefield 2042. Meaning if PCs have access to mouse & keyboards, joysticks and all the other devices while consoles are limited to controllers, PC has the advantage.

While there is a willing community of hackers, the vast majority of PC players are gamers looking to have fun the same as everyone else. I recently tried turning crossplay off, I’m located on west coast of North America, and I get zero games. The population is so diminished that turning off cross play results in no active servers.
I won't delve into exploits, but I can say this with certainty, I've never encountered the same level of enjoyment from a Battlefield title on PC like I've had on console. I started with Battlefield 2: Modern Combat 2004 (demo disk) and played every title up from there and I've also played most of them on PC, but rather play on console, but that's just me.
So that's where my opinion comes from that consoles deserve the right to play in their own community because being forced to play with personal computers could very well ruin their enjoyment of the series entirely.
