To respond to the question....some will come back to see what the wizards are going to force feed again. Some might stay for awhile. Others will come back simply to see what we got so that they can have a field day here in the forums bashing the game all anew once again. I think the damage has been done and for most that come back it is going to be more a case of curiousity.
That new CoD release, contrary to the opinions of some here, is not that bad of a game. Sure it has some issues and glitches/crashes but a week or so in it is still way better than a certain game that is a year old and getting worse by the minute.
I see lots of references to that other game and this game being a campfest. Im not so naive as to not understand what is meant by this but I have never understood why it is such a horrible thing to shoot some or many players while in a comfortable spot while those recently deceased were busy running and jumping around like fire ants had crawled up their skivvies.
I have been playing COD myself, this is my first COD title ever, and BF 2042 actually pushed me away from the BF franchise and sent me over to the 'dark side'. Not a big fan of the 6v6 modes, but their big map stuff isn't bad. At least when I shoot someone, I actually hit them, plus I'm not dying a seconds after I go behind cover in this game, so...
Just FYI, not sure about the whole campers only in COD statements, BF has infantry AND vehicle campers everywhere as well.
I went on Yesterday, at 2pm west coast US, and tried to finish the weekly's. Had to get a win in Breakthrough or Rush, and on Rush kept being the only 1 or 1 of 2 in the lobby with no one joining. After 6 attempts, I went to go to get a Breakthrough match, but kept getting put on the defender side half way or near the end of a match (7 matches).
I might get on to see the new map, but personally I think I am done with this game. It is not fun, I'm just on to grind and there simply to many problems to deal with.
