Agreed - not a good task :: I did mine on Stadium - it is so 'close quarters' it is difficult to miss.
Remember, the task is not time limited ; just keep grinding it out !

- @b0gart-555 Close quarters was the answer. It's a pain in the * because they rotate those 3 maps and really only Redacted is where you can get them bunched up and have the best chance to score a kill. Every time I played Redacted I got a couple of kills. I just set the XM370A at a midrange setting and fired away. So playing on Redacted I got a kill. A little later I saw someone and fired and low and behold I got a multi kill x4 for a total of 5! Thank you Lord I'm free! Now if I can just get that stupid damn dog to do 500 damage. Thank you all for your input. Sometimes, if not most of the time, you're more lucky than good!
