Unbanned but now...

Now I can only play BF2042 or any other EA game with caution.

And I say this because although I've never cheated or exploited the game or anything, I was banned. And only after two appeals and writing and responding, and only after nearly a month, I've been unbanned.

But now? Now I dont want to play any EA game without first recording my gameplay, or setting up some safeguard to help me prove my innocence in the event that more unjust bans come up.

I'm here asking for programs, procedure, etc. that will help me come with data SHOULD EA ever decide to ban me again for any particular reason. This last time, I had no recordings, no data. Nothing. I'm a plug and play gamer, aka a normie idiot. What is something I can do to protect myself in the future?

  • Aka I am chalking up to dumb luck that EA gave enough of a rat's buttcheek to unban me, and now I want to protect myself. I don't feel any goodwill from EA, I never got an explanation or an apology or nothing.

  • I would have a second SSD for playing games and install the minimal amount of apps possible. For example only install Windows 11, Nvidia drivers, EA app, and Battlefield.

It's also possible to divide a SSD into multiple partitions instead of having two SSD, but doing so is more complicated than having two SSD.

  • I'd be worried too. Just make sure any installed programs do not have overlays that hook into the game.

Pardon my ignorance. I have an SSD already with thr games loaded on there. But its all my games. Why does it make a difference as to having a separate ssd?

Yeah and my issue is they still haven't told me anything so I dont know what to do. I have cc cleaner, Logitech, Nvidia usually in the background. In another thread, users were saying Logitech would be an issue - but that seems crazy to me. But I guess I'll have to close it(? I never use it - it loads by itself.

I'd have a separate bootable partition for each anticheat type. For example a bootable Win11 partition for EA anticheat games and another bootable Win11 partition for Activision anticheat games.

Finally I'd have another bootable Win11 partition for general computing. On this partition I'd install as many apps as I want without fear of them triggering anticheat bans, since these apps are on a bootable Win11 partition that's separate from the anticheat game partitions.

You could also have a single partition for gaming and install all your games on it, but anticheat apps are very similar to antivirus apps. So that'd be like running 2 or 3 antivirus apps on the computer at the same time. Anybody who's ever tried that knows it negatively impacts the PC's performance and slows it down.

Partition software that can resize, merge, split, create, and format partitions is a must. You'll definitely want something better than Windows Disk Management.
