Battlefield 2042 wont start (DiscSoftLtd)

I had the same problem, but here I found the solution.  now it works

I uninstalled my daemon tools and the problem went away.

how would Daemon Tools give you "an unfair advantage" though?

EA just f-ed up while updating the anti-cheat and now should just fix it.

It is not specifically Daemon Tools it is that whole process going on on the background that will be flagged. It you know how those programs work then you would understand

I imagine it's because people could use it to play cracked games.

This was not a solution for me. It still gives the same error. So what it says in the error message that you need to delete Daemon Tools is not a solution.

But how do you say in English that all such programs have been deleted and still it doesn't work?

who said anything about deleting anything? You simply can not run Daemon Tools while playing that's all.. Close the app before you start your game. Kill it from task manager
