LG mouse LG powerplay won't work with BF2042

Good evening.  I just started playing this game and when I get going,  my LG G502x mouse goes grey and the custom profile I set up in the LG hub for BF won't work.   The mouse works fine but I can't utilize the extra buttons on the mouse due it not being "active" with the game. Any insight or solutions would be great.
