Re: BF2042 dosn't launch. No error

@Rokebo73 hey man i'm spielas1elf. Dunno why my nickname keeps changing every day but ok...EA i guess lol.
Right know i deleted everything from EA and EasyAnticheat and reinstall the game.
But there was no other EasyAntiCheat folder or service other than the one in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat

I also have 6 other games using EasyAnticheat W/o Problems.

I'll try to setup EAC manually again as soon as the download of BF2042 is finished.

I start the platforms manually.
I usually dont do that as there are no problems but since ive purchased BF2042 i do it every time 🙂

    @snitchmdick hmmm , ya need to start the game via STEAM !
    And launch steam as admin !
    Do not launch EA APP !!!!!!!

    yeah thats ok. but i have to reinstall ea-app after i delted every bit of it right ?

    @spielas1elf do not use ea app.
    Ya did buiy bf2042 at steam, so steam need to launch game (eac) !
    Thats also the reason why gameplatform, steam, should be luanched as an admin !

    @Rokebo73thats not right. Steam launches -> EA (orOrigin) -> EA launches -> EAC Launcher launches -> BF2042

    So i need either EA Desktop or Origin, even if i launch throug steam otherwise there will be an error message that EA App is not installed.

    @Rokebo73nope same behavior. EAC Splash and nothing.
    So i installed BF on C:\\.
    Did a restart.
    Launched Steam AS ADMIN
    Launched game THROUG STEAM
    I was asked to Login for EA, i did that.
    The EAC asked for Permission to change System data -->Granted
    The Splashscreen occours, the bar went to 100%
    And right now BF2042 is "launched" in background...

    @Rokebo73 Unfortunatly the same behavior...i made a clip so that u might see how it happens idk...

    i also chatted with EA Support..but they just forwarded me to steam lol

    Are ya familair with teamviewer.com ?
    So i can take a look at your bf2042 and system to see if i can solve it for you ?

    @Rokebo73 hey sry for the Late reply. As u can See in the Clip it was already very Late in Germany :D

    Im familiar with it. We can do that but Right now i decided to do a clean Windows 11 Pro Installation. After that is finished i reply to u again.

    @Rokebo73 Dat is grappig 🙂 at First i thought u are from the US.

    Believe it or not -> It works!!
    I‘m not sure it was the clean Win11 install as i had no other problems.

    I also did something different with the EA App. And now i think i know what u ment by „dont install ea or Origin “.

    So After i installed every neccesary drivers, steam and Battlefield i FirstTime-launched BF through steam as i did before but this time i didnt get the error „EA App is neccesary to Launch BF“ instead steam installed ea App and i didnt had to logon.

    After that anticheat asked for permission-> Granted, splash occured, bar went 100% and the Game just freaking started…can‘t believe it after that much time i‘ve spend.

    On the other Hand it doesnt make that much sense to Not be allowed to install EA/Origin before the Firstlaunch of Battlefield. Also if delete every Trace of EA and EAC before the clean install, steam gave an error and told me to install EA-App as i clicked the play Button.

    So my second guess is that there was some Folder / User Permission conflict as my System was 2 Years old and i had many different Enterprise Programms (wich Are Not thought to run on Personalcomputers) like PLC‘s and PDM Programs and also Developer Functions active as i use my PC Not just for gaming but also for schooling.

    However…Many thanks for Ur Help, time and input. I really appreciated that 🙂)

    @spielas1elf hahaha , ben gewoon NL , buurman !

    windows dont need to display any error , if there are issues with hard and software !
    Some times its a "silent" hidden error !
    A clean install (or even repair/update) windows is very often the solution to solve all kind of problems !

    Good you solved issues with new windows 11
