Re: Cannot connect to ea server

@daylynmiller, alright. Hmm, do you maybe have friend or family member who can test this for you in that case for the time being? The reason I ask is because I am thinking that something within your local network changed and is now blocking the connection for Battlefield 2042, because other Battlefield games work just fine.

Another player had something similar, and it turned out to be their Uni network changes that block the BF2042 connections, while other Battlefield games worked just fine.

  • Aussie servers are down, as cannot connect, was fine up til a couple of hours ago...

  • Having exactly the same issue on XBox. Private network with no changes and all of a sudden can't connect to servers. No listed outages. Manage to connect for 30 seconds and then it "timed out", then back to the can't connect again.

@Bonesman43, it could have been an ISP issue in that case that if it suddenly started to work again without any action from is or ourself. There also haven't been any reports of server issues.

Same counts for you, @Cak3mor3. It could very well be an ISP issue.
Do you maybe have a mobile phone where you can create a hotspot on, connect your PS4 to it and see if you can connect that way? That's how we can exclude certain factors.
  • Thanks mate but how could it be isp when battlefield V works and every other game?

never had this issue with any other game on any console mate.

@Cak3mor3, that is a very good question indeed!

I am mentioning the ISP because another player in another thread had a similar issue; every other Battlefield game worked fine, except Battlefield 2042. Switching to a different network allowed this specific player to correctly connect to the servers again and play the game as normal.

It could be that due to the more advanced configs of the game (cross-play for example, I don't know) that it used different ports then other Battlefield games, maybe ports that are blocked by the ISP (or your home network for example).
