Same issue for me but since Update 1.1. Since Update 1.1 it happens every time when I launch BF2042 (before Update 1.1 sometimes). I have a Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless headset. When I launch BF2042 I have to leave the voice channel in Discord and rejoin to talk with / hear my friends. It also happens mid match sometimes.
Nothing special installed, only iCUE. It only happens in Battlefield 2042, no issues in other games.
Guys this seems to be an issue with 'Easy Anti Cheat' It's also effecting Fortnite.

It can be an issue with EAC. When I see EAC before launching BF2042, the voice is already gone in Discord. But also on moments when the game freezes for 1-2 sec.
My Corsair headset does this as well. EAC having some issues with 2042 would not surprise me.
My Astro A40s with MixAmp are doing the exact same thing when I try to play this game. Does anyone have an update on this?

Check your settings, maybe you also have some weird/broken noise removal, noise cancelling, background filtering or whatever active, which just doesn't work out with BF.
