It isn't such a gamebreaker if you have a Recon player that doesn't mind playing at a disadvantage in close quarters and keeping targets marked, but players like that are rare because Dice keeps shoving Recon into the sniper role.

I find it annoying because I can't see the capture process and sometimes miss the capture scoring events amidst the kill feed.

@GanbanGremlinI've tried to have as much fun as possible without the flag icon, but I stopped after every first match of the day. It feels like playing with a disadvantage and I notice how it impacts my personal gameplay. Well RIP Double XP Weekend.
