Having the same issue and it's an issue that comes and goes, especially after patches for some reason.

I'm not sure what a daily cap is in this game, never heard of it. I just googled it and found a reddit thread about it and it appears that you can earn 1,5 million XP per day and that cap resets everyday at 6 a.m. CEST time.
I didn't even know that was a thing :P
