Re: "Unable to connect to the EA servers ..." Battlefield 2042 on PS5

I actually had some progress right after I posted the previous post - typical!

I was able to connect to the EA servers and access/play Battlefield 2042 when I connected my PS5 to internet through a Hotspot on my mobile phone instead of using a cable from my router. I think it's kinda strange that it worked, because the internet speed is much faster with the fiber cable.

Anyways, I'm happy I made some progress and that I was able to test the new Battlefield 2042. I will investigate further on how to make it possible to use my normal connetion to play these Battlefield games.

    @Thorjussen Done that, worked for a week during the beta but after getting the gold edition, can't connect, even try wit vpn apps an seem like it works for a time, but today again not connection to servers, error 15, and othe errors. What a piece of crap
  • Yep same this is actually pathetic it doesn't work I can play cod no issues but 2042 doesn't

    @Thorjussen Good for you mate ,but I am still having the same issue since yesterday its driving me crazy, tryid everything , my Internet connection is fast, and I can play all other games.

    @Thorjussen If hot spot worked it means something on your connection to our servers are not working and majority of the time its routing issues with the ISP as its affecting serval games I would reach out to the ISP about this one.

  • @EA_Atic Hey mate I have same issue. Can only connect through mobile hot spot as of today. Been playing for 4 days total on wifi with minimal issues besides the game itself lol never had this issue with Bf5 and please don’t tell me this is my issue because it’s clearly yours. Every other game works on my internet.
  • this has nothing to do with our isp it is on your end, all of my other games work just fine. i paid almost $100 in a pre order purchase and now i cant play the campaign or multiplayer. i have re set my password many times with no change at all. how you guys can possibly say its an error on our end is ridiculous. im on a ps5 and have linked my email and phone number to psn and to ea and every time i attempt to open the game i get a login error telling me to change my password, i can log in on your website but i dont even get the option to enter a password when i launch the game. you guys need to fix this, completely unacceptable to try and pass the blame to us.

    @rubendm101 I asked my internet provider to restart my router/modem (from their office), and after that BF 2042 has worked fine all the time.
