None of that Worked for me.. still cant move left or right! ☹️...

Only thing that works is deleting the file: PROFSAVE_profile in Documents\Battlefield 2042\settings.

Tip for others, make a copy of the old file. Compare the settings you made ie. your graphic settings and re-input those in the new file. The only thing you will lose then are the keybindings.

I have followed all the workarounds, controls were reset but i am unable to bind any commands to the mouse at all.

When trying to set a bind it will not recognize any input from mouse at all, even to change fire to mouse 2 and zoom to mouse 1 for example.

Unplugged all other usb devices previously, and also tried reconnecting mouse with no effect.

after deleting the folder start the game do your gfx setup, close the game and restart it

after this i could bind keys on my mouse again!

Same here ! Can't bind any key from my mouse. Even unbind is impossible

What is gfx ? 

How can it fix my mouse binding problems.

Deleting which file ? Prosave profile ? 

I deleted the PROFSAVE files and that fixed the mouselook issue, however now when driving vehicles, pressing A or D to move left or right, judders.. The left and right movement is intermittent, making it impossible to, for example, turn a vehicle in a full circle.  Steering is broken.  Keypresses are being missed/skipped (such as when firing a weapon or just general motion...).

A shameful attempt at fixing a game when the patch introduces such show-stopping bugs.  In this day and age how can these things happen?  Did nobody bother to test the fixes?

i might found a solution / workaround:

- When parallel to the mouse a continuous controller input is present, the horizontal aiming is restored.

- Pinning left stick on the controller so you slightly move worked best for me as a fix because you get the continuous controller input. (you do move slightly in one direction but better than not being able to aim at all)

Oh thank you community manager, I ve deleted BF2042 folder in my documents and now my game just dont launch with dx error. Thats a facepalm all of your team. 

@iVasiaJust copy the folder back for now and try one of the fixes posted by forum members that does not require deleting your whole entire settings. Surely you weren't stupid enough to just delete the folder rather than just move it temporarily to test the theory.

That doesn't work. If u r smart enough to understand that not every stupid advice can help

If copying the original folder back doesn't fix your issue then you have another problem clearly. 

Clearly you must be smoking something. It doesn't fix the problem because we never broke it. The patch and whiners did. And this is CLEARLY not a FIX or FIXED! Clearly.

Another unsolved mystery....Clearly.

@iVasia That seems to be very much unrelated as this potential Dx error that you're now getting has something to do with your DirectX (most likely GPU) install. 
I would recommend posting a separate Tech issue for that.

Not being funny but resetting all your settings really isn't a solution IMO.
