About the bindings of weapens and classes, my opinion.
Well. Before that, I must say I am a determined supporter of binding the weapens and classes by BF4 style like many other old BF players. I absolutely hate the weapons system in BF2042, it sucks with the stupid specialists. I still remember that everyone uses machineguns and PP29 during the months after BF2042 launched.
So when it turns to BF6, EA said they will provide 2 weapons system.One is 2042 style and the other is BF6 style. Before the test I heard this news. I think, well, I will go to play the "BF4" mode. But I was still uneasy about that. Then you can see what happens if you have tried playing the "BF4" mode——YOU CAN HARDLY PLAY EVEN ONE GAME BECAUSE THERE ARE ONLY FEW PEOPLE LESS THAN 10 IN THE SERVER. Then you have no choice but to play the common weapons mode and more than half people, no matter what classes they are, use the M433. THE BALANCE OF THE WEAPONS HAVE BEEN OUT OF CONTROL IN BF6 AT LEAST IN BETA TEST. And I don't want to say the fxxking Snipers rifles in libertypeak, maybe it's map issue.
The second paragraph is my feeling about my experience in Asia server during the test. I don't know the situation in Europe or other servers. You can tell me in the comments.
Then I'll tell you why I think common weapons system is infeasible.
First is the SIGNATURE WEAPONS. In my view, only ASSAULT's signature——Faster draw and switch times make sense. And other classes' signature CAN'T PLAY A CONCLUSIVE RULE IN WEAPONS CHOICES. Like ENGINEER. they have better hip-fire control when they use SMG. However, SMG originally has a good performance on hip-fire after customize.Then the SUPPORT——no sprint speed penalty. I would say this is as stupid as the assults' signature in 2042——3 extra mags. I can tell you that most of the LMG users prefer camping to moving. RECON has the other valuable signature to use sniper rifles well. So you can see, you can almost ignore the signature weapons system to choose the weapons you like. And that destroys the balance of the weapons.
Then let's see the weapons. I won't talk about the CARBINE, DMR and SHOTGUN because they are common in BF4. Now if you are an assault, absolutely your first choice is ASSAULT RIFLES. What an amazing type of weapons that having a good performance in nearly all the possible distance. You can damage the enemies in dozens of meters and you can kill SMGs in few meters possibly. You can find that is M433 in beta test. And now if you are ENGINEER or SUPPORT, do you have to use SMG or LMG to exert your SIGNATURE WEAPONS? NO! The assult rifles are much better! Why not use M433 to kill everyone? That's the ideas of most players. In BF4, you can choose CARBINE, DMR and even noob SHOTGUN to match the distance of battle, but you can't rob other classes' weapon advantage and this is the reason why CARBINE can't be better than ASSAULT RIFLES most time.If you find most of the players use the same weapon, that means the balance have been fxxked up.
At the same time, I want to say the data of the weapons in beta test is not so good. The headshot magnification is too low(I don't like soft point at all and not every weapons have it) and the distance attenuation sucks.
Trace back to the source. EA and BATTLEFIELD throw specialists to the dustbin and take the classes back. This idea is clever because WE ARE GLAD TO SEE WHAT WE SAW IN BF3 AND BF4, The apex of this series. So why you take common weapons—— a trash in 2042 to BF6? EA? You can't do that because it‘s CONFLICT TO CLASSES ESSENTIALLY. WE WANT TO PLAY BATTLEFIELD NOT CALL OF DUTY!!!😭
