Aim assist needs work

So far, my experiences in the beta have been predominantly positive. Been a longtime supporter of the franchise with Battlefield 2 being one of the first games I sank a thousand hours into, the beta for Battlefield 6 has me excited about the franchise again.

The movement and gunplay feel good, the maps have for the most part felt great, while I haven't capped out the beta limitations for all of the weapons yet, the ones I have hit the cap on have been enjoyable to use. And the modes bring back all the old nostalgia.

But the aim assist offered to controller players is currently way too over the top. It is functionally indistinguishable from an aimbot at this time, players spraying cross-map kills consistently with lethal precision. The consistency is enough that without peeking at the menus, you can identify the controller players based purely on the damage reporting.

While its implementation is inevitable with any controller based input, it does need to be scaled back dramatically so it more serves its purpose as an assist and not standing in as a legitimized aim hack.

Aim assist doesnt affect weapon spread and bloom.

Being an xbox player myself and having had some super high kill games (posted below)

I can confidently say that aim assist isnt really as strong as most people thing it is.

I use LMG's and they will constantly be outranged by the AR's. Which have no spread or bloom over long distances.

Remember, aim assist slows your aim down to assist you in targeting. it doesnt keep you on them.

my past experience is T500 OW, Champion R6 and consistent master in apex. (apex has strong aim assist)

I agree with you. It’s not aim assist that PC players think is killing them in BF6  it’s recoil reduction or reduced bloom.
The actual move-your-crosshair-onto-the-target aim assist, that CoD console players enjoy is basically none existent in this game.
