Aim assist needs work
So far, my experiences in the beta have been predominantly positive. Been a longtime supporter of the franchise with Battlefield 2 being one of the first games I sank a thousand hours into, the beta for Battlefield 6 has me excited about the franchise again.
The movement and gunplay feel good, the maps have for the most part felt great, while I haven't capped out the beta limitations for all of the weapons yet, the ones I have hit the cap on have been enjoyable to use. And the modes bring back all the old nostalgia.
But the aim assist offered to controller players is currently way too over the top. It is functionally indistinguishable from an aimbot at this time, players spraying cross-map kills consistently with lethal precision. The consistency is enough that without peeking at the menus, you can identify the controller players based purely on the damage reporting.
While its implementation is inevitable with any controller based input, it does need to be scaled back dramatically so it more serves its purpose as an assist and not standing in as a legitimized aim hack.
