Battlefield 6 is Horrible

argue a little bit, too easy to say: horrible

I like the drag-revive mechanic, but other than that despite my very best efforts and more playtime in the beta than most single player games I just... have not enjoyed myself for a minute of that time. I hate it.

I'm glad there was a beta to save my money but I am sad because I really hoped and thought it'd be a return to form and BF3's/BC2's style of gameplay but it's so far off the mark it baffles me. I don't want to have 3 second spawn/death loops in a shoebox of a map with insane variance in TTK and TTD. A single vehicle and explosives that cannot damage players whatsoever, with 400 snipers glittering like a starry sky on every map. The one thing I really hoped they'd finally fix is the complete absence of any class synergies, to re-enable actual cooperation but no. 

Everyone runs around like headless chickens, kills are the only currency, and everything moves at such a blistering speed there is no sense of an objective, a frontline, a tactical decision anywhere. You just spawn, get a kill, die, spawn, someone spawns behind you, you spawn behind someone, oh no our team lost/won. It's completely brainless. I don't use this word a lot but gosh, I kinda hate it. 

To summarize, to my great surprise and disappointment - This beta is without a doubt the least fun I've ever had with a battlefield game.

To those of us who know, the good days of BF pretty much ended with BF1/BF3/BF4 depending on what you played last. EA and  this new DICE breed of devs are entirely incapable of making a  good BF game because they are too motivated by big cooperate heads. I honestly think they have no idea what made Battlefield great either so they can’t even aim to replicate it. This is hardly a BETA. It’s a showcase for the COD players to buy Battlefield. It’s by far a better war game than COD and with the way COD has been messing up over the years, it’s clear that this is a great time to try to capture that market. 

Beta is the hype generator, the marketing, and the COD player preorder bait.

RIP Battlefield. It was good while it lasted!

Bad Company 2 had a Beta with a single map that was infinitely more fun than this garbage 

Classic Dunning Kruger in action. You screech PTFO while being a net liability, all the while performing mental gymnastics to reconcile your self image with reality. The cognitive dissonance at play here is glorious. Of course it’s not CS…. you’re deflecting, and that’s why I notice the difference between competing with people who understand performance and babysitting players like you who think it excuses incompetence. Competence isn’t optional, champ, and pretending it is only highlights how spectacularly unaware you are.

Battlefield have not been good since Battlefield 2. Just mediocrely in bf3, rest just FFA, sniper hells and COD cloning which just got worse and worse through the years.

I can totally see why you would feel that way about BF3. Arguably, BF3 was still missing a lot of the tactical command decisions that made BF2, and squad BF2 at that point more enjoyable. It had a much higher skill cap. When they came to console with Bad Company, they had to make some concessions due to both hardware and console gamer appeal. This stripped away a fair amount of traditional BF gameplay for a more simplified and streamlined one appealing to the masses. It was an evolution then, and I suppose it’s an evolution now as well… it just seems like this time, they are ripping the literal soul out of Battlefield. At least with the other games, I could see at least some part of the DNA.

Appealing to the masses always means to leave some people behind in the past. For veteran BF players, this is the time we retire. BF is officially dead…

I agree, why i also get annoyed when, as an old school Battlefield fans and player, can't play the older games except from the small maps purely against bad bots. I really miss old school Battlefield.

They should have just upgraded BF4 graphics and give us more maps. This so called bf feels like a COD ground warfare. It don't have BF vibes. Definitely not pre-ordering this COD BF.
