Feedback - Recon Class
As a U.S. Army Veteran and weapons sergeant with multiple engagements in overseas operations, I appreciate when Battlefield leans into tactical realism and rewards players who use patience, positioning, and sound tactical discipline in their playstyle. That is why I find the current implementation of the "Recon Class" in the beta extremely frustrating and unrealistic.
The whole purpose of the Recon role is stealth, observation, and precision. You give up close-range effectiveness, rate of fire, and overall versatility to operate at a distance and remain unseen. The bolt-action rifles are intentionally slow, and the sidearm is barely effective in close fights, which is fine because you're not supposed to be in close-quarters combat engagements in the first place as reconnaissance.
The problem right now is that the scope glint is active almost all the time, even when the sniper is prone, stationary, and slowly scanning from deep cover without even firing a shot.
In real-world operational reconnaissance missions, exposing your position with a reflective sight completely defeats the point of the mission. Battlefield is forcing Recon players into high-yield engagements because they become immediately visible the second they aim, even when playing correctly and using proper stealth tactics. Once spotted, there is almost no way to recover with a bolt-action firearm and a weak sidearm, which does little to nothing against fast-moving, juiced-up assault class operators.
This creates a very unbalanced and unrealistic situation that honestly discourages people from even wanting to play the Recon class. Everyone runs and guns with no tactical movement, thought, or planning required.
Suggested Fix:
Remove the glint when the recon player is prone, stationary, or slowly scanning. Only apply the scope reflection during rapid movement or after taking multiple consecutive shots, which would realistically give away a recon operator's position.
This fix would keep the system fair (no camping laser rifles), while rewarding players who use stealth and recon tactics as intended.
BF has always been known for its immersion - please don't punish the players who try to play this class as intended.

The glint issue will be fixed eventually, i am almost certain they will apply the same fix they did for battlefield 1, and i think 5 as well? can't really remember as i never played recon in battlefield games. but essentially you will have glint while outdoors in the open, while glint will be gone indoors or in the shade.
