Aim assist is not OP: controllers don't have the same level of precision and control in aiming as a mouse does, that's why it's necessary.
They start messing with aim assist, changing the feel of the game for console players and hurting their experience, you'll be happy?
Demonstrate that aim assist gives a significant advantage and taking it away or reducing it won't hinder the experience for console players. You want to take away aim assist and ruin the game for console players? Adapt.
The industry forced cross-platform on all of us—why should your opinion of aim assist take precedent over my opinion of hardware disparity? Cross-platform shouldn't exist at all; console players should play against console players but the industry decided for the consumers that this was better.
