BF6 beta: feedback from my side
Hey y'all,
ill make two threads as there are more things i want to comment on but bugs are bugs and general discussion is...that. I hope that someone from the devteam actually reads it, even though that hope might be missplaced.
UI:
starting with the minimap: looks good in general, please implement the option again to switch through different zoom options. the constant switching is annoying and the hint that it should be implemented is in your settings-description, no way to set or see the key for it though.
big map: general issues are known, please dont make it zoom in without a reason. i wanna see the whole map for an overview quickly without searching for control points
spawnscreen: add buttons to spawn on teammates, beacons and control points. clicking on the map is unreliable especially when more spawn options overlay each other. BF4 did it well.
main menu: please change, at least for pc, to a menu thats made for pc. the big panels may be nice for consoles but like with the first battlefront from dice its a **bleep** experience to have the need to manually click on left/right/scroll to see custom search or closed weapons modes. if you dont change that at least make it possible to scroll to the right via scrollwheel while im in that column.
weapon customization: generally good, tarkov taught you well. make a guided walkthrough or infopanel what the symbols and categories mean, ive had friends ask me what that stuff means and i had to deduce from context what it might be. that being said: do we get actual difference in sound from higher/lower velocity bullets? like the whole subsonic ammo and suppressor thing? could be interesting and if you add it, you be the person telling the player that. it makes players praise you, not xxShadowBulletz34 for telling them in a video. also customization while in a match sometimes doesnt apply. also show me how my stats change when i remove a part (i.e. setting barrel attachement to 'none')
closed vs. open weapons: im Kind of conservative there, i like closed more (bf3/4 style) and it adds to class identity. specialist style can Work but i feel like the you can just roll with everything and its fine (besides lmg's) and it feels off
last note: more isnt always better. ive seen many discussions that helis take way too little damage but i cant comment om that. what i can say: tanks will control certain control points very well. if they are instant respawns you will barely be able to punish missplays as the enemy will have a tank willy nilly anyway. they should be a big threat and i feel that they, atm, are. you gotta play well to have it and it has to be a punishment to lose them just like that. the respawn timer on them, for me, feels fine.
