BF6 Beta Feedback
Hello there and welcome to my probably big wall of text of feedback for the beta.
This is going to be a mix of pretty much everything from annoyances to change requests and bugs. I've played about 40 - 50h in total and mostly closed weapons conquest. Other modes only for the Challenges.
- Locking mouse cursor to game window
- I already touched this within Locking mouse cursor to game window | EA Forums - 12416273 and I think there is still a proper option / enforcement needed
- Defibs feel inconsistent
- Revives seem to not always go through, when I expect them to. Not sure if this is a range issue alone or something else
- I also noticed later that there a circumstances, where you can't revive via defibs at all and have to use the drag feature. Might be because of slopes/stairs/dynamic rubble
- Stuck while loading into matches
- Has been fixed during the first beta window
- TTK to fast
- I feel it's overall a bit to fast
- There seem to be occasions where all the damage is coming in at once, instead of per bullet hit
- This might also be remedied a bit with higher overall recoil for all automatic guns.
- Movement to fast
- By now, this is more a momentum issue for me.
- E.g. if you run and go into a slide, you then should not be able change your direction, or use a jump to do so. At most, you should be able to jump up, but not in a direction.
- Server Que (Login)
- Why is there a login Que to even reach the main menu? This just feels silly. Granted, this wasn't happening on the second weekend at all anymore and was reasonable fast before, but still.
- Game startup time to long
- We are in 2025 and not in 2005. While it's not as bad as Forza Horizon 5, it's still to long for "only" getting us into the main menu. And I already did not count the login que here.
- Squad list in Spawn menu
- Would be nice to have a list of my squad mates in the spawn screen to quickly see who is using what and that I can also use the list to spawn on them and not need to fiddle around on the map.
- Auto deploy on round start
- While cinematic, it's annoying if you want to change your loadout and get pushed out by vehicles.
- If I change my loadout, I'd rather then like to spawn at the first taken flag or on squad mates, instead of needing to run from the main base, because I'm already spawned in.
- Maybe use the home base repair station to allow loadout changes at any time?
- Menu UI
- Overall you need to many clicks do anything and I find the design almost hostile towards PC users.
- In the game que selection, when you need to scroll further to the right/left, it often feels sluggish.
- Far to many clicks needed to change attachments on guns.
- The wording for changing sensitivities for vehicles is confusing. I have now Idea what does what.
- Footstep sounds
- As is tradition by now, they are not loud/consistent enough to spot enemies with.
- Server Browser
- Please bring it back for all Game modes.
- I have read the reason why it is, how it is, but this is a problem you created yourself, by taking away dedicated 3rd party servers. Besides for consoles, I see no good reason that this was implemented.
- It's also annoying, because you can be playing the same map over and over if you're unlucky.
- Server based match making
- I question, if this works at all.
- Most games I've played ended with 500+ tickets difference.
- Maybe this would work better, if you keep the server up and keep the same players on it that are still left and switch them around as needed there.
- Community Server
- Bring back the possibility to have a dedicated 3rd party server running.
- You effectively killed whole communities (mine included) in the past, because we were not able to have any dedicated servers anymore.
- Vehicle zoom
- I often need to click multiple times for the zoom to work in vehicles.
- It also seems to not be possible, while zoomed in, to switch to the 3rd person camera.
- Variable zoom with Scope
- Overall, it feels rather clunky to use variable scopes for weapons.
- This might feel better with a quicker change in zoom level.
- Steal Squad lead
- Please return the feature to steal the squad lead, if the leader doesn't bother to give orders.
- It's also difficult to tell, who actually is the squad lead, besides the initial spawn screen on round start.
- If I'm in a party, the squad lead should not randomly change from round to round. Even if it's not a party of 4.
- Scoreboard
- Would be nice to be able to sort it. (At end of round)
- Add Rank to scoreboard
- Add Heals, Revives and Resupplies
- Add game reports like BF3&4 to check out the scoreboard after rounds
- Limit Frame rate in Menu
- Please add an option to limit the Frame rate separately for menus.
- Attachment UI
- Probably bugged right now, but would be nice to have an indication where new Attachments unlocked.
- Class recognition
- Besides Recon, it's difficult to the tell the other classes apart at a glance.
- Maybe use different body shapes, helmets, etc. to differentiate better.
- Settings
- Please make them remember where I was when I go into a sub setting. This was annoying has hell.
- Loadout during matchmaking
- Since matchmaking sometimes takes a while, it would be opportune to be able to switch loadouts
- Loadout between games and main menu
- There seems to be an occasional problem with updating loadouts between in game and main menu. E.g. changes made during a round are then not reflected in the main menu.
- Option for joining in progress games or not
- An Option would be nice to not be matchmaked into ongoing rounds. I occasionally joined late / on round end.
- Attachment Points
- I'm still mixed on the attachment point system. While easier to balance stat impacts, I can't really go for visuals anymore.
- Random button presses
- There where times when the game just randomly switched weapons or zoom levels while playing.
- Probably a server load issue.
- Random damage
- There were occasions where on spawning I received random damage that seems to be only visually applied.
- Again, probably a server load issue.
- Tow's get distracted
- Tow's can get easily distracted by seemingly nothing at times.
- Maybe add a check that only object's of a minimum size can interfere with aiming.
- Rep & Refill Station
- I like the change that was made that vehicles do not regen ammo themselves anymore
- Reloading takes to long. I feel like it would be faster to destroy the tank and wait for it to respawn.
- Maybe add an option to also resupply/heal soldiers?
- Stuck during matchmaking
- Sometimes I was not able to leave back to the main menu, when matchmaking was going on between rounds. I think the countdown was already present at those times.
- It then was also not possible to leave, when the round already started.
- Conquest is lacking
- This is primarily an "urgency" problem.
- Most flags don't matter besides ticket bleed.
- There should be more reasons to take and especially hold a flag.
- Maybe move more Vehicles out of the main base and unto flags.
- Bring back (Double) Assault, where the main base can be taken.
- Main bases need more protection from direct firing lanes.
- Add strategic objects like e.g. bridges to destroy and deny lanes, etc.

- Custom Search
- If the closed weapons Que stays for release, please make it possible to select this in the custom search as well.
- It was annoying that for weekend 2, this got mixed with Breakthrough and no option for only Conquest was available.
- Custom Mode to check out Maps
- Would be nice to be able to check out maps alone.
- AMD Adrenalin
- I wasn't able to fully use the Adrenalin overlay for FPS, etc.
- It seems that it can't hook into certain things and was not able to read some metrics.
- The in game one was nice, but it was difficult to read and decipher what stuff actually means. (FPS wise)
- Linux Support
- Please make at least your Anti cheat work on Linux.
- A full port would be nice as well.
- Bring back Attrition
- Please remove auto heal
- Maybe at max only to about 1/4
- Add back losing ammo on early reloads
- This emphasizes more team play and would also slow the overall pace
- Please remove auto heal
- Gadget & Grenade resupply
- Please remove the resetting of the resupply bar for gadgets and grenades.
- It's frustrating if the resupply box disappears and we need to start over.
- Class balance
- First and foremost, the golden rule should be, that no one class is self sufficient.
- I'm still mixed on the additional gadget slot.
- It's nice on Engineer to have AT and AA at the same time without loosing repairs. But it feels a bit over powered.
- Support doesn't really need it.
- Assault should not be able to use 2 grenade launchers (with the current balancing of them)
- I have no take on Recon for now.
- Support is overpowered with Heals, Revives and Ammo
- Why can we only grab health but no ammo from them?
- Ammo should be moved to Assault
- From what I heard, Mortar will be moved to Support
- Why? They are supposed to be on the front line supporting and not farm kills and be effectively useless. Because let's be honest, if even 0.001% of players even know, that smoke might be an option to use and use it, I would be surprised.
- An indication of range for the class ability would be nice. I have no feeling for how far this actually goes.
- Assault feels out of place with the current kit and has no team play synergy
- As mentioned on Support, move ammo resupply to Assault.
- We should then be able to grab ammo off of them
- From what I heard, Spawn Beacon will be moved to Assault
- I can understand the thought process, but I doubt that Assaults will actually use this over any other (explosive) gadget.
- If this change stays, Recons might have more use for the Mortar than Supports.
- The syringe thingy and class ability felt useless and take to long to activate.
- Maybe only allow 100 attachment points in total for both primary weapons if used.
- Having 2 fully decked out primaries seems a bit much.
- Engineer seems to be fine for now, but double launcher for them might be over powered in the long run.
- I would need to see the full gadget list to form a better opinion.
- Recon seems to be fine for now, if the spawn beacon stays with them.
