Crossplay on consoles doesnt work as promised.
People from DICE said it would usually matchmake with other console players and just in case of no console players avalaible to fulfill the server it would matchmake a few PC players.

This is a buy or not buy issue so hopefully sort it asap there are lot of console players rethinking buying the game. Turning off cross play and it sat looking for other console players for almost 1 hour before I give up.
CitizenCarnagee I had no problem to find lobbies with crossplay off the thing is that BF2042 is dead with crossplay off. I just wanted PS and Xbox play together without PC. I dont want to be punished AGAIN that my platform isnt doing well when it comes to sales.
I wanted to pre-order the game after DICE said it would matchmake PS and Xbox with occasional PC players when the game cannot find enough console players. But now I will wait.
They should at least have cross play turned off by default in the menus, so that we are not inadvertently forced to play with PC players. Most players never go into the menu and turn it off as I have seen in other games with cross play. On the other games with cross play when I turn cross play off, I would never find a lobby. This sucks bad and I felt it immediately. I will not be buying this one if it's forcing me to play with the sweaty PC players.!!!
crossplay off means full crossplay off.
