Spawning could definitely be improved as you have suggested.
It would be nice just to have a list of squad members to quickly click on. And also if that squad member dies I wouldn't want it to instantly spawn on another squad member, as an alternative. I should be forced to physically choose the next squad member, otherwise you end up somewhere completely different to where you wanted on the map.
