Feedback from BF2 player aged 34 who wants to see this franchise survive.
Played beta for 20 hours.
The good:
Gun play feels awesome. There's a 'black hawk down' loadout from BF2 I'm running and it's beyond great.,
Loving the simplicity of the gun customisation - nothing crazy.,
TTK is OK, I don't feel like I'm getting robbed.,
People are reviving and it feels like the squad mechanics of sticking together works on a basic level.,
Please keep the number of guns in this game restricted as per the Beta, we don't need a thousand weapons and you've nailed this so far.,
The bad:
Class system:
No real reason to play Assault currently, this class needs to drop ammo or respawn beacon.,
Support, slightly overpowered - remove ammo drop.,
Cosmetics aren't currently distinctive enough, give the Engineer a cap instead of helmet at minimum!,
Vehicles:
Ground vehicles feel like CoD vehicles - why the hell do they drive like they are on rails? Build in suspension mechanics, we nailed this in BF2 20 years ago guys...
The Ugly:
Map size:
Currently feels like CoD, way too small, appreciate this is a Beta but I need to drive this point home, we don't want CoD. Battlefield needs to feel BIG with phases to insertion. I want to decide on a route to point with my squad, fly them in a heli, deploy, then engage. Not spawn -> get shot in the face 3 times.,
No server browser in game currently.,
For me and my squad, Battlefield 6 is not a buy until the above issues are resolved.
