Frustrating way to set up a challenge
One of the new challenges for this weekend is to capture 15 sectors in breakthrough or rush. My problem with this challenge is that you have a 50-50 chance of being an attacker or a defender when you join such a game, but you can only make progress towards it if you’re attacking. This challenge should be set up so that successfully defending a sector grant you one of these points as well. Previous battlefield games have had challenges with similar issues, and the only thing it serves to do is artificially inflate the amount of time it takes to complete such a challenge by making it random whether or not you’ll be able to even make progress on it in any given match. The way it set up now it actively incentivizes people determined enough to finish the challenge to quit out of a breakthrough or rush game immediately if they find themselves on the defense. With a simple addition of the words “or hold” in between “capture” and “sectors” it would still feel so much better to try and make progress towards it.
