Also it was the game changer program that really started the decline of battlefield, a select few people who were always going to suggest stuff they could make content out of having a hand in the direction the series went was always a very bad idea.
Thing is without the content creators you ultimately end up with very niche communities and limited ability for growth in the game. Streamers are amazing sources of marketing because the "content" you describe is them doing the cool "battlefield moments" type stuff. Players going on insane flanks for 10x multikills, rendezooks, jeep c4 antics, mind boggling sniper shots. All that is pure BF but also stuff streamers will try to do.
Even then the hand they'd have in the game's design and direction would only be so much. I think you're GROSSLY overestimating how much input they'd likely have had that'd influence things.
